Congratulations to our PE teacher Mark Morris, who ran the London Marathon this year in aid of the Dementia Revolution.
Mr Morris was running his sixth London Marathon for charitable causes, which have previously included Lindsey Lodge Hospice and Whizz Kidz.
He said: “In January I was asked if I would like to run for the Dementia Revolution. The Dementia Revolution was the main charity of the marathon this year and saw celebrities such as Chris Evans run for it.
“The whole weekend is always an amazing experience. I managed to raise over £1,000 for the charity which I was very motivated for and proud to do so.”
He added: “My time for the marathon was 3 hours 10 minutes. I was aiming for and on for 2 hours 58 minutes but at 23 miles my calf cramped up and forced me to slow down.
“The main thing though is another £1,000 goes towards helping and supporting such an amazing cause.”
