Face Covering Update
Following the latest Government update, please see our guidance on the use of face coverings in education as of Monday, 17th May.
For learners:
Learners are no longer recommended to wear face coverings in classrooms or workshops or communal areas such as the corridors or refectory. However, it is recommended that learners continue to wear face coverings in our workplace/commercial environments such as hairdressing and beauty salons, sports and fitness facilities and restaurants, in compliance with relevant latest sector guidance.
In line with current Government guidance for transport, learners will still be required to wear face coverings on our transport or public transport.
For staff and visitors:
Face coverings should be worn by staff and visitors in situations outside of classrooms or workshops where social distancing is not possible (i.e. when moving around in corridors and communal areas).
General:
It is incredibly important that if staff, learners or visitors feel more comfortable wearing a face covering in a situation where they are not recommended to by the above guidance, that we absolutely support them to continue to wear a face covering.
Exemptions from wearing face coverings for individuals applies in all situations.
