Learners Celebrate GCSE Results Day at The Academy Grimsby
There were lots of smiling faces today, as learners picked up their GCSE results from The Academy Grimsby. This is the first time since 2019 that learners have been able to receive their results under regular circumstances. A number of learners have achieved some excellent results today, with plans to progress on to Further Education and Apprenticeships.
Jesse Black achieved an amazing set of results and is going to The Grimsby Institute to study Uniformed Public Services. They said: “I loved being at TAG, the class sizes were small and my teachers were great. I really enjoyed my time at TAG and I’m really looking forward to starting at The Grimsby Institute.”
Ruby McGuire is going to do an apprenticeship at Queensway Nursery in Grimsby. She did the Health and Social Care Pathway. Ruby said: “I’m so happy with my results! Everyone at TAG has been so supportive, I’ve really enjoyed it.”
Matthew Holness, Principal at The Academy Grimsby, said: “This year saw our Academy learners sitting their GCSE’s for the first time since 2019. I’m incredibly proud of them all and wish them every success for the future as they take their next steps towards Further Education and Apprenticeships. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Academy team and all our parents for their support throughout the academic year.”
