Celebrations at The Academy Grimsby on GCSE Results Day 2025

The Academy Grimsby is proud to celebrate the achievements of its students on this year’s GCSE Results Day. With a strong sense of pride, students gathered to collect their results and reflect on their hard work, resilience and aspirations for the future.

Matt Holness, Principal at The Academy Grimsby, praised the students and staff for another successful year:

The Academy are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements in this year’s GCSEs. Their hard work, resilience and determination, supported by our dedicated Academy team and the wider TEC Partnership has been fantastic

These results reflect the strength of character of our students which has developed during their time with us.

We look forward to seeing their accomplishments in the future.”

Among the success stories:

Evie, who struggled with mainstream school, achieved her required grades, is going onto further education to study animal care. “The teachers were so supportive to achieve my grades. My advice for someone who wants to attend The Academy Grimsby is go with the flow, it’s eye opening for someone who struggles with mainstream school.

Charlotte, proud of her psychology grade, will join Franklin College to pursue A levels in psychology, English literature and maths. “I’ve learnt to be an individual and express myself. The Academy has a goal of helping you and you can feel that whilst being a student here.”

Isabel, who became more self-confident at The Academy Grimsby is progressing onto college to study psychology, criminology and biology, then onto university.

These stories reflect The Academy’s commitment to personalised learning, smaller class sizes and a nurturing environment that supports every student’s potential.

The Academy Grimsby continues to offer a unique blend of vocational and core GCSE pathways for 14-16 year olds, preparing them for success in further education and beyond.
