The Academy Grimsby Students Celebrate GCSE Success and Exciting Futures Ahead

Students at The Academy Grimsby were celebrating today as they received their GCSE results and prepared to take the next step in their education and career journeys.

The results reflect the hard work and determination shown by students throughout their studies, supported by dedicated staff and families every step of the way.

Among those celebrating was Ela Burton, who achieved grades 8, 7, 7, 6 and 5 and is now progressing to Franklin Sixth Form College to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths as she works towards her career goal of becoming a doctor.

Ela said:

“I am really pleased and relieved with the grades I have achieved. They reflect all the hard work I have put in, and I am excited to be progressing to college, where I can continue working towards my dream of becoming a doctor.”

Another student, Isabel Kirkby, achieved grades 6, 6, 5, 5, 5 and 5 and will be progressing to The Grimsby Institute to study T Level Education and Childcare.

Isabel said:

“I am so proud of myself. I was shaking when I opened my results.”

Isabel’s mum said:

“I am incredibly proud of my daughter, Isabel. She started her journey here with wings, but The Academy Grimsby taught her how to fly. They accepted her for who she is, helped her grow in confidence, and gave her the tools she needed to succeed. We are so grateful for all the support she has received throughout her time at The Academy Grimsby.”

Many students will now progress to further education, apprenticeships and vocational training, building on the skills and knowledge they have developed during their time at The Academy Grimsby.

Christopher Read, Assistant Principal at The Academy Grimsby, said:

“We are incredibly proud of our students and the results they have achieved this year. We have seen strong percentage increases across GCSE English, Maths and Science, reflecting the hard work and commitment shown by our students throughout their studies. These outcomes are also a testament to the dedication of our staff, who have supported and challenged students every step of the way. We congratulate all of our students on their achievements and look forward to seeing them take their next steps with confidence and ambition.”
